After it was suggested by several people, I read a book by Napoleon Hill called “Outwitting the Devil”. There are a whole lot of things that I disagree about with Mr. Hill, and I am not so sure that he was not a scam artist.

He has a concept that there are only two types of people in the world, drifters and those with “definiteness of purpose”. Either you are choosing how to live life or there is a predetermined software that carries you thru life.

I believe that most men that feel stuck in their middle age do not have a definiteness of purpose. Either that or a life event destroyed their purpose, and they now are forced to rediscover their purpose.
